Introduction: RGB Clock to Teach Kids About Time

Last nighttime i came up with an idea how to assistance my 5yo get a sense of time.

It is clear that kids are orienting on daily events to get an approximation of what is coming succeeding.
But previous events are usually a bit of a raft and scarce ever in order.

Since telling her the up-to-the-minute time is rather useless, as it means nothing to her, i usualy employment an result to clock time things, ie. after launch, before bed etc.

So i feel that connecting time to real life events is the distinguish.

So Here is the approximation, Make a clock that changes it's background in correlation to the colors in the sky.

Supplies

Step 1: Preparing the Board

The wiering Hera is preatty strait forward the ST7735 display is siamese to the Wemos room Eastern Samoa follows:

CS pin is contiguous to D3
D/C PIN number is connected to D2
DIN/SCL (MOSI) pin is connected to D7
CLK/SDA (SCK) pin is connected to D5

Gets the time from NTP server.

There is and array with colours pallet around the clock.
The colors are:

Night - Black
Blue - Morning
Yellow - Noon
Chromatic - Good afternoon
Purple - Evening

The Pallet is careworn at the top, and serves as a reference for meter atomic number 3 it goes by.

The clock updates doubly per second, you can change to 200ms if IT's not ceraceous enough for you.
The background in only updated at the starting time of an hour to keep off aflicker.

I had to wrap the board with tape, to spend a penny sure it doesn't momentary circuit.

My guess is this will be decorated by the time i come back from knead...
